The Method

How it Works?

At The Juice Shop, we strongly believe that juicing is an art form. All of our juices are created to work harmoniously with one another to nourish our bodies and clear our minds. We prepare each juice with only organic fruits and vegetables, pressed in our state-of-the-art Norwalk Juicer, ensuring that the highest amount of essential vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients are present in every sip. Here's a little bit about how it works!

Up to 2 lbs. of organic fruits and vegetables are pressed for every bottle, Each Bottle contains 16oz of juice. We use only filtered water to clean all of our fruits and vegetables. Our Norwalk Juicer uses a special low-heat grinding process that preserves and protects critical nutrients and enzymes in the pulp of the produce. After grinding the ingredients, the pulp is placed in a microfiber bag and 2 tons of pressure is slowly applied to extract all the vital vitamins and minerals.

The purest form of juice is strained and hand-poured into bottles. The tremendous pressure exerted by the Norwalk Hydraulic Press gently and completely extracts the natural fruit sugars, vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes, and other vital elements. The process added to the juice creates an extremely fine quality and flavor, which is unequaled by any other method of juice extraction.

Storage of juices: The Hydraulic Press method of juice extraction provides a minimum mixing of air with the juices, which results in very slow oxidation or decomposition. This is why many Norwalk juices may be kept refrigerated in closed containers for several days with little to no apparent loss of flavor, color, or vital elements. With the Norwalk Juicer, it is possible to keep the refrigerator stocked at all times with a variety of delicious and satisfying juices, with only occasional use of the juicer required.

The juicing process is not as taxing on the cell walls of fruits and vegetables as other means of juicing. By maintaining the integrity of the plants’ cellular structure, the cold press method yields the purest form of extracted juice with the highest density of nutrients and flavor. This means you get all of the vital nutrients the whole plant and/or fruit has to offer.

In the final step, we bottle our juices in glass because it retains the flavor of the juice, and is the safest material to drink from (glass does not degrade or leach chemicals). Each bottle is topped off to limit oxidation and avoid degradation of the juice, thus preserving the juice’s nutrients and live enzymes. Limited oxidation also extends shelf-life, meaning that even though we make our juice fresh every day, they will last in your refrigerator for up to three days after purchase, while still remaining in the most nutrient-available state.
